” What a Night ” at Greystones Toastmasters…We held our club International & Evaluation contests on Thursday 10th of March in the Glenview Hotel and what a brilliant night it was, the standard of competition was extremely high which in turn made it a tough night for the judges, a huge congratulations to all the competitors in both contests you were all brilliant, however there must be a winner and after tense deliberating & counting of votes the results were announced by contest chair Jackie O’Keefe…In the International Speech contest Jill McGrath came out on top with Alan Murphy coming in a close second place..both Jill & Alan will now represent Greystones in the Area Competition which will be held on the 15th of March in the Royal Marine Hotel Dun Laoghaire…The winner of the Evaluation Contest was Colin Byford again followed closely by Sarah Jane Cairns both of whom will also represent Greystones on the same night. Greystones toastmasters would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended, helped on the night and those who visited from other clubs with a special thank you to Carolann Murphy from Wicklow Toastmasters who delivered the test speech for the evaluation contest. Finally your support for Alan, Jill, Sarah Jane & Colin would be much appreciated on the 15th in Dun Laoghaire, we hope to see as many of you there as possible to cheer them on to victory.
