We had a terrific Toastmasters meeting last Thursday. Vincent did an excellent job as our toastmaster and everyone present got to play some part in the evenings success. Special mention must go to the Table Topics session that was prepared by one of our newer members – Mary Duffy. It was excellently put together and an approach I hadn’t seen before. Looking forward already to our second April meeting on Thursday 28th.
I gave a very quick follow up to our Feedback night at the end of the meeting. It is super to see so much activity in the club. Short education topics are now scheduled in prior to the start of meetings where members can learn about various aspects of Toastmasters. If you want to know about particular areas just ask – we can schedule a talk going forward. We also have the mentorship programme in place and Jackie has informed us she is undertaking the mentoring role of long standing members next year on an area basis.
Please note because of the demand for speeches it is likely that we will schedule one extra meeting before we wrap up for the summer break.

A reminder that our Table Quiz takes place on the 6th of May in the Grove Bar, Willow Grove. Teams can be entered at 40 euro and it would be super if every Toastmaster put a team together.
